Tropical Spice Radio The Flava of the Caribbean
Dancehall mainstays Mr. Easy and Future Fambo have joined forces with Deejay Yellow for “Cyaan Go Round Yuh,” an explosive new collaboration fueled by infectious rhythms, playful lyrics, and the unmistakable chemistry of distinctive Dancehall voices, according to Caribbean entertainment publicist Flair Lindsey of Acclaim PR.
Produced by Yellow House Promotions, “Cyaan Go Round Yuh” is the first single from Yellow House Records’ inaugural Dancehall riddim, “Aktive.” Written by Mr. Easy and Troy Auxilly Wilson, Lindsey told Caribbean Life on Friday, Aug. 28.
“The energetic, female-focused track taps into the feel-good, collaborative spirit of ’90s Dancehall while delivering a fresh sound for today,” she said. “Driven by the pulsating ‘Aktive’ riddim, the artists trade vocals and personalities over a track built for parties, selectors and the dance floor.
“For Mr. Easy, inspiration struck almost immediately after hearing the riddim while driving through New York,” she added. “Although he initially hesitated to listen after receiving a steady stream of riddims from producers, the ‘Aktive’ riddim changed his mind within moments.”
Mr. Easy said: “The minute I put the riddim on in the car, the whole vibe just hit me. I started vibing, and the song just came.
“One thing I’ve learned is you can’t underrate or underestimate any producer,” he added.
Lindsey said Mr. Easy quickly reached out to musician and collaborator Clarity, also known as Drumrat, and that the two began developing the record.
“Within approximately an hour, the foundation of ‘Cyaan Go Round Yuh’ was complete,” she said. “The timing couldn’t be better, as the song arrives during a sizzling summer for Mr. Easy and Future Fambo, with both artists generating fresh attention and momentum.”
Lindsey said Mr. Easy continues to command attention across generations with a catalog that includes loads of Dancehall favorites with the timeless “Drive Me Crazy” leading the pack.
On the same day “Cyaan Go Round Yuh” dropped, Lindsey said the hitmaker appeared on the popular On The Radar Radio, “delivering an energetic performance of the classic ‘Drive Me Crazy’, alongside his newer track ‘Gal It’s Ya Birthday.’
“The appearance sparked a flurry of social media activity and renewed attention around the artist and his music,” she said, adding that Future Fambo is also enjoying a resurgence of his own, powered by the viral success of “Red Light Pepper Light.”
Lindsey said the track has generated significant attention across TikTok and other social media platforms, while the celebrated deejay has also seen increased momentum on the live performance circuit and several music releases.
“Now, ‘Cyaan Go Round Yuh’ brings that momentum together, pairing two familiar Dancehall personalities with Deejay Yellow on a record that bridges the genre’s classic collaborative energy with its current sound,” she said. “The strong response to the song echoes the excitement Mr. Easy felt the moment the riddim first caught his ear.”
Mr. Easy said: “People want to hear this type of vibe again. It’s positive energy, and the song came out amazing.”
